Firstly, it is important to recognize that COVID-19 has impacted the zoning amendment approval process with Lee County, resulting in longer review and approval timeframes. However, even with such effects, in September we completed the initial public hearing which went very well for us. Regarding our zoning amendment, we await the final written recommendations of the Hearing Examiner and expect to receive those recommendations before the end of this year.
From there, our next step is to complete our final public hearing with the Lee County Commissioners, where we expect to receive all necessary approvals for our lot modifications, the new clubhouse, and amenities. While we await approval of our zoning amendment, we also have a modified Development Order under review with the County for which we anticipate administrative approval later this year.
Once our County approvals are obtained, we will schedule our construction work in Laguna Caribe.
