Since our last construction update in September, we have benefited from the beginning of our annual “dry season” here in southwest Florida. Dry weather in October significantly increases the pace of construction as we are no longer having to do much dewatering in our deep utility trenches.

We just finished up the bulkhead wall that separates the amenity center from our lake. Utility installation continues apace with Phase 1 of the sanitary system now in place and continuing the work on Phase 2. Filling of road subbase and lots continues, preparatory to beginning road construction next month. Our amenity center building pad is now complete.

We’re awaiting building permits on our amenity buildings and pool – County permitting has been a slow process for everyone in the building industry in southwest Florida this year, with the big ramp up on building projects.

With the construction that we’ve completed to date, our property is finally starting to take on the appearance of our actual Laguna Caribe community! Stand by for continuing updates as construction progresses over the next several months.
