Since our last Construction Update, we’ve achieved several key milestones.  We obtained our Certification of Completion from Lee County for the lots and all of the civil construction facilities in Laguna Caribe on March 29.  That key prerequisite was followed by Lee County approval and recording of our Phase 1 plat on May 4.  The latter enables us to begin closing on the sales of lots to our first customers!

Additionally, we submitted our Phase 2 plat for review which required recording of our Phase 1 plat, and we anticipate approval and recording of Phase 2 plat a little later this summer.

Of course, to sell our motorcoach lots requires that they be occupiable, and that entails delivery of electrical power to the pedestal by FPL and landscaping of the lot.  Those activities are now well underway, with most of our lots being connected to power, with meters installed, by the end of this week (June 16), and lot landscaping that began earlier this spring continues apace.  As soon as we have a sufficient inventory of landscaped lots available, we anticipate beginning rentals of Developer owned lots, so that prospective customers can come and try out our community, both Laguna Caribe and Cypress Woods.

Our amenities construction continues with installation of our bocce courts, lighted pickleball courts, installation of the pool deck and final completion of the pool – all anticipated for completion later this summer.  The Laguna Caribe clubhouse – the “Coral Club” – continues construction with the focus in installing the plumbing, wiring, heating/ventilation/air conditioning system, video and entertainment low voltage wiring, then fixtures and finishes on the interior.  The Tiki Bar continues construction with installation of sprinkler system, the bar and bar equipment, and flooring.  The exterior is now stucco’d, and the roof will soon be installed.
